That is why we continuously research human body dimensions, sitting postures, and natural movement behaviors to better understand how users interact with their chairs throughout the day. By analyzing these ergonomic factors, we are able to refine chair sizing, improve fitting flexibility, and create seating solutions that provide more natural support, enhanced comfort, and long-lasting performance for every user.
Size & Measurements
People come in different heights, sizes, and weights because of gender, age, or ethnicity. As the FAA and BIFMA suggest, this makes the “5th percentile female to the 95th percentile male” range the universal basis for chair design practices.
And according to the ergonomic design textbook of City University of Hong Kong, this range can accommodate up to 95% of the population.

People sit in many different ways throughout the day and often remain seated for extended periods of time. Whether reaching forward, reclining back, leaning sideways, or shifting positions naturally, a well-designed chair should support smooth and effortless movement while minimizing stress on the body. That is why ergonomic seating requires a wider range of motion and flexible support that adapts comfortably to the user’s natural posture changes.
To achieve this level of easiness and accommodate as broad a population as possible, our engineers design for an adjustable range.
We refer to the BIFMA standards or go beyond based on our users’ general preferences and physical needs.
In designing Kaiser 3, while its most measurements stick to the standard, we built its seat deeper and the backrest higher and wider to accommodate user needs for leisure comfort and flexibility.

By studying the sitting habits of thousands of users, we discovered that people prefer adjusting their headrest effortlessly without needing to sit upright or reach behind the chair. To create a smoother and more intuitive experience, we developed a snap-on magnetic attachment system that allows quick and seamless adjustments. Equipped with high-performance magnets, the AndaSeat magnetic headrest delivers a secure hold while supporting a wider range of user heights through a flexible 20 cm vertical adjustment range.
Designed with an ergonomic hourglass-inspired shape, the headrest naturally contours to the curves of the head, neck, and upper trapezius muscles for enhanced support and comfort. Inside, 65 kg/m³ high-density memory foam provides soft yet supportive cushioning that helps relieve neck pressure during extended use. A built-in cooling gel layer further enhances comfort by helping dissipate heat and keeping the neck area cooler in warmer environments.
To achieve exceptional comfort, support, and long-term durability, AndaSeat seat and back cushions are crafted using high-density cold-cure foam molding technology. Through advanced computer-controlled mixing and injection processes, we precisely regulate foam density, weight, and curing temperature within custom aluminum molds. This allows the foam to be shaped with high accuracy to better support the natural contours of the body while preserving its internal cellular structure for enhanced elasticity and softness.
The result is a cushion that delivers the ideal balance of comfort and resilience; lightweight yet highly durable, soft yet supportive. Designed for extended daily use, AndaSeat cold-cure foam maintains its shape and performance over time, providing a consistently comfortable seating experience.
Reclining can help us relax spinal or back fatigue from extended sittings. In reclined positions, the action of tilting, and sometimes rocking, exponentially increases the tilt mechanism’s load pressure, demanding maximum strength and durability.
Forged with high-performance aluminum alloy and steel, the multi-function tilt mechanism in Kaiser 3 and our other best-selling chairs is impressively heavy-duty and supports up to 260lbs in all postures. We also used ceramic and electrophoretic coating processes during its construction to improve their corrosion and scratch resistance, enhancing durability over time
For comfortable seating, it is essential to keep our feet flat on the floor and knees at an angle between 90° and 110°. This posture helps reduce pressure on the spine, thighs' back, and hip bones.
To make this posture accessible for a wide range of body heights and weights, we use Class 4 gas lifts on every AndaSeat chair. They provide 6.5cm to 10cm smooth, precise height adjustment depending on the models. And with SGS certification, they deliver exceptional durability and safety.
Stains, discoloration, cracking, or even safety issues frequently arise in regular leather upholstery. And we work tirelessly to address these challenges in our chairs.
During the development of Kaiser 3, the AndaSeat engineering team spent over 180 days testing various leather types and developed our latest ArteDiPelle synthetic leather. Processed with a patented technique in certified manufacturing facilities, it is extremely resistant to stains and easy to clean. Complying with rigorous OEKO-TEX and RoHS standards, its solvent-free formula ensures a healthy and high-quality living space

To enhance the chair's heat management, we've selected exceptionally absorbent and breathable 3D weave linen fabric. With a computer-controlled density of 346g/m², it’s 73% stronger than regular 200g/m² fabric, providing extra durability and S-tier comfort.
